Kelsi Rankins is a Houston native. The oldest daughter of 3 siblings from her maternal mother and the youngest of 7 siblings from her father. Currently working in commercial real estate for 10 years in Debt and Structured Finance focusing on Portfolio Management being apart of CB Richard Ellis. In 2022 transitioned within CBRE to Global Workplace Solutions in Project Management on the JP Morgan Chase account. During her tenor with CBRE also lead an Employee Business Resource Group which promotes DE&I as the national co-chair chapter leader over seeing 18 chapters in the Americas.
During 2021 took on the role and currently the Program Director for W.I.R.E Women in Real Estate. Being the Program Director I am instrumental with success in large annual events such as Diversify Development Summit and W.I.R.E Retreat and the expansion of Regional and local chapters. Mother of two daughter Paris Rankins-Brooks and son Keith K. Spears. Actively engaged in community events primarily focused on promoting the advancement of minorities in underrepresented communities. For leisure Kelsi enjoys transcontinental travel which brings a holistic understanding of cultures and beliefs, reading and practicing restorative yoga. Largely apart of DE&I initiatives in various organizations has always led me to operate in my purpose and passion. A perspective I’ve carried with me through my journey is “God gives every bird a worm, but he does not throw it in the nest- Swedish Proverb. My “Why” is to be to the entry level professional and future generation what I didn’t know I needed exposure, guidance and opportunity.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Retailing & Consumer Science from the University of Houston. A serial entrepreneur and Texas Realtor with 2 designations as a National Commercial Real Estate Advisor and Certified Real Estate Investment Planning Specialist. I took my love for buildings, homes, architecture and started BEDDIEO. A Construction & Design Company with over 10 years combined experience. When I’m not in the office, I teach Middle School Science in the Houston Independent School District, Coach Girls Volleyball, and regularly volunteer as a Tech Assistant with Black Girls Code. In late 2021, I founded the Suite Dreams Suite Life Foundation that focuses on the economic future & mental health of underserved youth. I look forward to accelerating my real estate career in the developer space and using my education/resources to create a thriving environment for disadvantaged youth.
