Luna Petty’s journey in the mortgage industry began in 1998 while attending California State University, Los Angeles, where she pursued a degree in broadcast communications with aspirations of becoming a journalist. Her introduction to real estate started with a telemarketing position, cold-calling leads as she worked her way through college. Her curiosity and sharp analytical skills soon led her into loan processing, where she developed a deep understanding of the mortgage landscape, learning firsthand what lenders look for in a successful loan approval.
With extensive education in Real Estate and Business Law, Real Estate Finance, Business Communications, and Economics, Luna quickly established herself as a knowledgeable and resourceful professional. In 2003, she opened her first mortgage office in Covina, California, closing over $15 million in home loans in its first year. By 2005, she expanded operations to Orange County and Diamond Bar, growing her impact in the real estate finance industry. In 2006, Luna’s company, Unyque Financial, partnered with F & M Business Center, a Pasadena-based tax and business services firm, creating a seamless integration of mortgage lending and taxation services.
Today, Luna is a licensed Mortgage Broker, Property Manager, Notary Public, and Certified Tax Preparer. She takes a strategic, client-focused approach to home loans, prioritizing long-term financial planning and real estate investment strategies. Her commitment to personalized service has been the foundation of her success, ensuring each client receives a loan solution tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Beyond her work in mortgages, Luna is the host of Your Real Talk, a podcast dedicated to breaking down real estate and mortgage topics in an easy-to-understand, engaging format. When she’s not helping clients build wealth through homeownership, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, and making memories with her beloved pug, Q.
